Ok, everyone I need your ideas for the wedding reception! Travis and I don't want to listen to glasses clinking all night and kissing every 10 seconds. We want our guests to have to work for it. Send me your ideas for what you think our guests should have to do to earn our kiss.

You could do something like Liz and Justin did at their wedding. (correct me if I miss any details Liz!) They had rocks on the table (glass ones) with words on them.. and you had to make a sentence.. and then someone from the table had to bring up the sentence and read it.. then they had to toss a bean bag at this board..
the board had holes and each hole was a different kind of kiss.. ie quick kiss... dip kiss.. something like that..
That was fun! She would know more of the details but I enjoyed that one! Got all of us involved for sure!
I like kissing and clanking on glasses.
Tha's what we did, pretty much to a tee. I've seen a lot of poem writing, story-telling, song-singing with different words, sinking a putt on a little baby golf green, and also shooting a hoop at a mini basketball hoop. You could do something related to you guys.... get people to insert an IV into a doll? climb a ladder and down in less than 5 seconds? I love those things and I'm sure that it would make for some funny stories.
Hmmmm, I can't even remember what we did!!!??? See, have a few babies and you COMPLETELY lose your memory :0
Anyways, here's a few from weddings we were at recently that I thought were kind of cute:
1. From Karen and Steve's wedding: compose a limerick with something in it about either Karen or Steve or both of them. These were hilarious and often full of hints at things that happened at school or wherever that their parents would have NO IDEA about. Prior to dinner, Karen explained how to compose a Limerick - so that made it easy for all. It was one of the more hilarious ways of making folks kiss - I killed myself laughing at some of the Limericks.
2. At my cousin Meaghen and her husband James' wedding, they got people to pop a balloon between them, without using their hands or their mouths. It was very entertaining... but not too many people were brave enough to get up and do this with an audience, so it did significantly cut down on the kissing!!
Good luck with it!! [I just had a Latte delivered to me by Sophie, she and Jeff made a heroic trip to Bridgehead to save us from our coffee-less plight. We didn't have any coffee at the cottage on Sunday morning... and we were not a pretty sight. Is there a word for parents who don't have a single bone in their bodies??!!}
I've seen a couple weddings now where if a glass is clanked, the bride and groom get to pick any 2 people in the room...they can be a couple (usually the safe choice), or one girl, one guy, or if you wan, 2 guys hahaha....anyways, they pick 2 people, and those people have to kiss ANY way they want, and then the bride and groom have to match the kiss exactly how it was done! Brent and I got picked at the last wedding and I'm telling you...I haven't been kissed by Brent like that in a long time! The things he'll do to show up his groom friend! Its a lot of fun..people always have a hoot with it!
